Statement of Faith
We believe in the Triune God: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:18-20, John 10:30, John 14) The Bible is our foundation, for there is no other doctrine except the Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Hebrews 13:9, 2 John 1:9-10)
We believe that Jesus is God incarnate, born of the Virgin Mary. (Matthew 1:18, Luke 1:26-38)
We believe that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, as He said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." (John 14:6) Jesus' atoning blood, shed at the cross, brings salvation. His sacrifice covers our sins, allowing God to see that we belong to Him. We acknowledge that we have been bought with a price through Jesus' death on the cross. By accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we gain the key to eternal life. (John 14:1-4)
We believe in water baptism, as taught and demonstrated by Jesus, as a way for believers to identify with His death, burial, and resurrection. (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4; Matthew 3:13-17) Baptism symbolizes dying to oneself and being reborn to live in righteousness.
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, as testified in Acts 2. Before ascending to heaven, Jesus promised His disciples that the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, would come to help them minister in His name. (John 14:15-18, 26)
We believe that receiving the Holy Spirit manifests all the gifts of the Spirit, empowering us to live as Jesus did. Additionally, the fruits of the Spirit guide us in wisdom and righteousness, uniting us with the Church. This divine power helps us resist the devil, heal the sick, and preach with the authority of Jesus. (1 Corinthians 12:4-11, Matthew 10:7-10)
We believe that God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Hebrews 13:8) God is omnipotent and omnipresent—the only true God. We stand firm on the teachings and miracles of Jesus Christ, believing that those who receive Him can perform the same miracles He did. (Matthew 28:18)
We believe in diversity within the body of Christ, as stated in Galatians 3:27-29: "For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you are Christ's, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." We follow Christ's example of loving the sinner but rejecting sin.
We believe in loving one another and refraining from judgment. (Matthew 7:1-7) God is love, and He calls us to love all people, just as Christ has loved us. It is His desire for us to reach out to the poor, oppressed, widowed, and orphaned, and to heal the brokenhearted. (Psalm 68:5-6, 1 John 4:7-8, 16, 1 Corinthians 13:1) We must always forgive one another and seek reconciliation. God desires that we be examples to those who do not know Him, and we should continually pray for unity among us and our fellow believers.
